Welcome to Peristeri, Athens!

Well, sort of.

To start us off, a bit of Athenian trivia. "Peristeri" is a real area of Athens, and the Greek word for "pigeon".

You will find pigeons in this fictional version of Peristeri - or, rather, they will find you - but were we to name this godforsaken place after the creature that populates it most densely, we really should call it "COPS".

Cops are a part of this story. Homeless men are a part of this story. Young artists who suffer menial part-time jobs to fund their creative pursuits are a part of this story. The protagonist of this story, however, is a middle-aged woman named Iris.

You would call Iris a protagonist, but you would never call her a hero, especially not to her faceIf you called Iris a hero, she might actually die. Why? Because, God, she's no hero, am I? I mean, is she? Let me answer that: she's not. In fact, she's nobody, really. A totally unexceptional, deeply conservative, borderline detached shadow of a person who'd just like some PAINT. Pai--? Sorry, I meant PAINT. No. Not paint. I was gonna say she just wants some--

P A I N T.

damnit.

"That's cool and all but what's the game like?"

"Meaningful interaction with a small cast of characters", would be our target-experience. Especially in this PART I (of II), you'll spend most of your time talking. Your choices matter, and hopefully you'll find joy in the game's reactions.

So, basically:

  • Dialogue Options
  • An unconventional inventory/trading system
  • Lots of talking
  • Multiple endings!

Things To Know:

  • The game still lacks a lot of audio work.
  • 95% of the game was drawn by hand (digitally).
  • There's a PART II coming.

We'd appreciate it immensely if you took the time to:

Answer a few questions about your experience with the game.

I got Jimmy to agree to gift Kate the art supplies and then I quit because I assumed that was as far as I am able to go. I was wondering if there are more secret events I may missed, like what happens if I guess all 10 numbers correctly in the lucky game, if it's even possible, what happens if I try to give money to the police officers, what happens if I try to steal tips from Kate, and others. I would like to see where the story goes if there ever is a part 2. I liked getting to understand how the characters feel and the problems they are dealing with, I feel like Iris is similar to Kate and that she also wanted to be an artist when she was younger like Kate does. I wasn't able to understand Jimmy that well but he seems like a good person he is just lost maybe. Lastly, maybe add some good police officers in the game too just to show that even though there is corruption not all police officers are bad. And Takis and Makis should kiss each other.

Thank you so much for playing! You played everything there is to play (well, except giving the cops money, and the multiple jimmy endings)! Im really happy you connected with the characters.  Stay tuned for part 2/2 <3

Thanks so much Alexandre, for playing and for the wonderful comment.

Very enjoyable game, with clever humor. I really, really loved the character dialogues/monologues, they're quirky, funny, unique and also, I loved some of the features sprinkled in, like Iris' hand being a stock image 🥲

Thabk youuu ♥️

Beat to death by cops  in front of a *forever closed*shop.
10/10 would like to get my revenge!

Perfectly depicts the Greek society and all of the social interactions in the dialogues! Really nice work with the art and animation also, can't wait for part 2!

Thank you! I'm glad the cops aggro worked, it's kinda wonky right now and I don't have the energy to refactor the code 😅. Glad you enjoyed it 😊
